NEWS LIBRARY INTERNSHIP

The Palm Beach Post newspaper is offering a paid internship for 2008. We're looking for one brilliant Library/Information Studies student who is interested in pursuing a career in News Research. Our interns are treated as professionals. You will join a staff that includes five researchers and work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment. This is a great opportunity to get some real world reference and archiving experience and probably receive published credit for your work. This is a full time, 40 hour a week 12-week internship. We pay $475/week during our internship, but that does not include room, board or transportation. We are always happy to work with interns trying to find a place to live in the area. Position Available at SCDAH

[Posted on behalf of Bryan Collars -- South Carolina Department of Archives and History] One of my part-time employees unexpectedly resigned recently. As such I have available a part-time position that needs to be filled. Start Date is January 15th ish. The position pays $12 and hour for 20 hours per week. The work is in the Digitization Program working on scanning and indexing into the On Line Records Index. It is open to not only Public History students but to all Graduate students as well. I-COMM (Information Communication) Week will be from March 31st to April 4th. This is major showcase for the year for the College of Mass Communication and Information Studies (of which SLIS is a part.)
