Reference Librarian - USC Aiken
University of South Carolina Aiken seeks a full-time Reference
Librarian.
The position is a 12 month tenure track Assistant Professorship
Responsibilities include delivery of print and electronic reference
services; communication about new resources to faculty, staff, and
students; participation in instruction and collection development;
development of innovative services and user aids; planning and updating
of Library web pages.
Minimum qualifications: ALA accredited MLS; expertise in the use of
traditional and Web-based resources; strong commitment to public service
and teamwork; excellent organizational and communication skills;
familiarity with information technology and its applications in an
academic setting.
Preferred: recent academic library experience in reference/electronic
services.
Salary: $41,000 - 43,000 depending upon experience.
