Graduate Assistantship Available at University Archives for 2010-2011
The William Davis Melton Graduate Assistantship at the University of South Carolina Archives is available beginning May 2010 for a Library, Public History, or History graduate student. (Student must be enrolled in summer session to be hired during summer. Otherwise position will start with fall semester).
The position offers the opportunity to learn a wide variety of archival skills, including reference, processing of collections, digitization of collection materials, and assisting in the research and production of exhibits relating to University and South Carolina history.
Must be able to lift boxes weighing 40 lbs and work 10 to 20 hours per week (20 is preferred). Salary is $9.50 per hour.
