Adam Haigh: LISSA Colloquium recording

Adam Haigh, a librarian of Lander Unviersity and the President Elect of the South Carolina Library Association, came to talk to LISSA last night about the importance of professional associations and share his experiences with us about what happens after library school! Library/Information Studies Student Stipend for Registration Fees for MLA2010

The District of Columbia Area Health Sciences Libraries is offering a stipend for one graduate library/information studies school student to attend the MLA 2010 conference in Washington, DC May 21-26, 2010. The stipend will cover the full conference registration fee at the MLA student rate ($195) plus the MLA student membership fee ($40) for 2010 and a one-year membership in DCAHSL. Transportation, meals and other expenses are the responsibility of the student. Saturday, April 3rd at midnight is the deadline to nominate yourself for a LISSA officer position for the 2010-2011 academic year! Please e-mail Natalie Couch off the listserv ( couchn@email.sc.edu ) with your name, a brief bio of yourself, your area of interest at SLIS, and why you want to be President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer if you wish to run.
