The South Carolina State Library Board invited LISSA to send a representative to its meeting Wednesday, September 19th at 10:30. This is an invitation that the Board has been kind enough to extend for the last year, and the LISSA member attending has always learned something. We would like to say thank you to David Goble, the Librarian of South Carolina, for kindly inviting us back.

As part of I-COMM Week, March 30 - April 3, Dr. Tywanna Whorley, Processing Archivist of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Archive at Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University will be giving a presentation about her work with the Dr. King papers. Presentation title: The Measure of a Man: Redefining Martin Luther King, Jr. through His Papers Date: Thursday, April 2Time: 6:00-7:00 p.m. Location: Coliseum Room 3020A Professor Whorley has taught archival access and advocacy, and management of records and information resources in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at Simmons College in Boston, MA.
