Ms. Bridges will report on her experience of organizing a hospital library collection in a mission hospital in Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
Ms. Bridges received her library degree at the University of South Carolina School of Library and Information Science. She has held positions with South Carolina AHEC at MUSC in Charleston; Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC; Methodist Hospitals of Memphis, TN. She is a distinguished member of the Medical Library Association’s Academy of Health Information Professionals.
In 2005, Ms. Bridges was the first hospital librarian chosen to participate in the National Library of Medicine/Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries Leadership Fellows program. When not at her day job, she practices yoga and enjoys paddling her kayak in the tidal marshes around Tybee Island, Georgia, where she lives. She is a breast cancer survivor.
